Normanshire Care Services provides first class residential care delivered by trusted, professional and fully-trained staff. Our experienced team enables us to deliver high standards of professional care, and provide a warm, welcoming, family-style environment where our residents are able to move forward at their own pace and abilities. Our flexible, person-centred services are shaped by and built around the individual.

Care Quality Commission standards

The services we provide and the way we work are designed to meet the essential standards of our
regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), with which our home is fully-compliant. In addition, there is also an internal auditing control system in place to ensure we consistently deliver high
standards of care.

Our care homes are staffed by a team of professional support workers, led by a registered manager.
All new recruits to our team undergo thorough interviews, are fully referenced and successfully
complete checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Mandatory training

All team members also complete our comprehensive, in-house induction training programme,
designed to establish and enhance their knowledge of our organisation, its roles and responsibilities. Mandatory training also covers key aspects of care, including health and safety, infection control, moving and handling, medication and safeguarding.

Qualifications

Training programmes are also updated on an ongoing basis. We value the skills and expertise of our staff by continuing their professional development, with an emphasis on learning disability and mental illness, and providing support to achieve nationally recognised qualifications. All our support staff have either achieved a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) to a minimum of level 2 or are working towards the Diplomas in Health and Social Care.

Equal opportunities

We are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to providing equal opportunities for our residents and employees. All our residents can expect to be treated with respect, dignity and sensitivity irrespective of their age, gender, race, belief, culture or disability.
