We offer a personalised approach to the development of each resident’s care package. This is built around the needs and choices of each individual and involves the residents themselves from the outset. We aim to deliver a high standard of professional care at all times to all those in our care.
Our philosophy places a strong emphasis on a ‘person centred’ approach. We support personal
aspirations by working in partnership with a resident, their family and other representatives to develop a support plan. By supporting individual life skills and social experiences within the community,
residents are better enabled to achieve their desired outcomes.
Respect and dignity
Our person centred approach also means that each resident is seen as an individual to be treated with respect and dignity. Every resident is given a named key worker and an individual care plan detailing their personal and medical history, a record of particular activities enjoyed and any cultural or religious aspects of their care.
We work collaboratively with the CQC, Commissioners, NHS Trusts, Independent Advocates, Local
Council, Social Services, GPs and other statutory agencies. Normanshire takes a strategic, professional lead to ensure that procedures are in place to fully support and protect residents from avoidable harm and risk. We provide a safe environment for our residents, visitors, carers and staff.
